Ever wonder what the heck to do with those strange looking steaks they sell vacuum packed in plastic?
Those funny looking things are called flat iron steaks and if you prepare them like this cookbook club cook does you will be buying those funny looking steaks all the time! This rub makes them to die for! Flat Iron Steak with Southwest Rub
Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp chili powder of your choice
- 2 Tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp packed ground cumin
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp cider vinegar
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp ground red pepper
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients in small bowl. Makes about 1/4 cup.
- Press rub evenly onto flat iron steak before grilling. Turn occasionally to avoid burning.
- Allow to sit 5 minutes after removing from grill to allow juices to reabsorb into steak.
- Slice thin on a diagonal to serve.
- Refrigerate any leftovers

Ahh, thank you so much for this, very interesting. I’ve been searching high and low for a specific pasta dish that my wife and I had on our first date .
